In order to better grow crops, experts from Beijing soil and fertilizer station recently went to the strawberry greenhouse in Xinzhuang Village, Changping District, and conducted a survey on the situation of calcium deficiency, iron deficiency and boron deficiency in strawberries.
The survey found that some greenhouse strawberries have symptoms of calcium deficiency or iron deficiency. Calcium is less fluid and cannot be used now, and calcium deficiency is manifested in new tissue. Symptoms are characterized by leaf shrinkage and incomplete leaf margins. Due to weather conditions such as smog and low temperature, the plant will not be able to absorb calcium. When the strawberry is deficient in iron, the leaves are severely green. The initial symptoms are chlorosis or yellowing of the young leaves, and the moderate iron deficiency veins are green. Yellow and white. The leaves can be supplemented with ferrous sulfate; the lack of boron in the strawberry will result in small flowering, low pollination and seed setting rate, fruit malformation or cracking, which affects fruit quality. In this survey, the phenomenon of boron deficiency in strawberries is rare.
