Beware of the second flowering of fruit trees in autumn and winter!

Abstract: Fruit trees generally bloom in spring, but some fruit trees bloom again in the fall. The second flowering has great influence on the flowering results of the leap year. Measures should be taken in time to prevent and control the normal flowering results of the fruit trees in the coming year. The technical measures are briefly described as follows:

    First, the cause and harm

Under normal circumstances, during the growth of fruit trees, the leaves are flowered with spring, and the flower buds and leaf buds of the next year are formed. If the management is not good, it is damaged by red spiders, mites, leaf-eating pests, or the weather is dry early, which causes the leaves of fruit trees to fall off prematurely, so that the concentration of cell liquid in the flower buds is reduced. If the appropriate temperature is added, the flower buds are stimulated. Then there was a secondary flowering phenomenon. The emergence of secondary flowering fruit trees not only reduced the number of flower buds in the following year, but also caused a substantial reduction in production. At the same time, it consumed a lot of nutrients stored in the trees, weakened the wintering ability of the trees, and caused the trees to freeze.

    Second, preventive measures

Prevention of early defoliation and inhibition of flower bud differentiation in advance are the key to preventing secondary flowering of fruit trees. It is necessary to do a good job in fertilizer and water management, apply early and deep application of base fertilizer, increase the application of quick-acting manure or foliar spray fertilizer, supplement the consumption of nutrients in the tree, and timely irrigation in the face of drought; carry out pest control, especially to strengthen the early leaves and other leaf parts. Prevention and control of disease and leaf-feeding pests, and timely removal of flowers that have been opened to reduce nutrient consumption of trees; if secondary signs of flowering occur, plant growth regulators should be used in time to inhibit sprouting and shoot growth, such as toxins, Fresh and so on. Before wintering, we must do a good job in protecting the trees from cold.
