On June 23, Li Gongle, the deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and acting mayor, visited several enterprises in Luancheng County to conduct an on-site investigation. During the visit, he emphasized the importance of focusing on research and development (R&D) and continuously increasing investment in innovation. He called for integrating more high-tech elements into company operations to elevate product value and quality. Li stressed the need for active innovation, the development of strong brand products, and the extension of industrial chains toward intensive processing and high-end manufacturing, aiming to enhance overall industrial development levels.
The diamond superhard material industry is a key pillar of Yucheng County's industrial cluster. The region produces over 1 billion carats of diamonds, 4.5 billion carats of diamond powder, and more than 7 million diamond products annually, accounting for over 75% of national production. Li visited Houde Diamond Technology Co., Ltd. and Wanke Diamond Tools Co., Ltd., where he closely examined their production processes, technological R&D, and the sourcing and application of diamond powder. He encouraged continued investment in scientific research, the introduction of innovative mechanisms, and the establishment of standard R&D centers and laboratories. He also urged accelerating enterprise technological upgrades, improving product quality, and enhancing technical value to better meet market demands and expand commercial opportunities.
Li further emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between industry, academia, and research institutions. He called for establishing bilateral and multilateral technical cooperation frameworks, increasing investment in human and financial resources, and improving the efficiency of scientific research and technological innovation. He highlighted the need to cultivate independent brands and pursue a brand-driven economic model. Supporting key industries, enterprises, and products would help accelerate the growth of well-known brands and increase the number of high-quality branded products, ultimately shifting the focus from simple scale expansion to advanced processing and high-value production.
In addition, Li visited the exhibition center of Yucheng County’s industrial gathering area, where he gained further insights into the local industrial development and future plans. His visit underscored the government's commitment to driving innovation, supporting high-tech industries, and promoting sustainable and high-quality growth in the region.
