1. Preventing the contamination of hydraulic oil The contamination of hydraulic oil refers to the incorporation of air, moisture, and various solidified substances from the outside. If rusted metal powder is mixed in during use, it will destroy the seal material, paint, and other debris. Contamination of the oil will exacerbate the wear between the relatively moving parts in the hydraulic element, resulting in blockage of the orifice or blockage of the slide valve, making the hydraulic element unable to work properly. According to statistics, more than 75% of hydraulic system failures were due to oil contamination. Therefore, various measures must be taken to prevent or reduce oil pollution.

The main methods to prevent oil pollution are:

1 Pipes, castings, etc. shall be thoroughly cleaned before installation, and the hydraulic system shall be thoroughly cleaned after the final assembly;

2 When assembling various hydraulic components, it is prohibited to wipe with fabrics with fibers (such as cotton yarn);

3 The fuel tank should be sealed reasonably and the air filter should be installed in the atmosphere.

4 The seal must be reliable, it is forbidden to use oil-resistant seals and hoses;

5 Reasonably select the type and installation position of the filter. The system should be configured according to the need of crude and refined oil filter. The oil filter should always check the usage and find that the damage should be replaced in time;

6 Change the oil regularly, generally after more than 10,000 hours of accumulated work, change the oil. If used continuously, the oil will lose its lubricating properties and may become acidic, causing corrosion of the metal parts of the hydraulic system. If it is used intermittently, it can be changed every six months or one year according to the actual situation.

2. The oil used to prevent the air from entering the hydraulic system of the hydraulic system has very little compressibility. Under normal circumstances, it can be considered that the oil is incompressible. However, the compressibility of air is very large, about 10,000 times that of oil. Therefore, even if the system contains a small amount of air, its influence is great. The air dissolved in the oil will come from the oil at low pressure. The liquid escapes, bubbles are formed, holes are formed, and they reach the high pressure area. Under the effect of pressure oil, these air bubbles are quickly broken, and are rapidly compressed, causing noise in the system. At the same time, they are released when the gas is suddenly compressed. A lot of heat, causing local overheating, accelerating the rise in oil temperature, causing damage to hydraulic components and hydraulic oil. The high compressibility of air can also result in malfunctions such as crawling of the working organs, destroying the smoothness of work, and sometimes causing vibrations.
