Fraunhofer ISE Confirms Asahi Battery Efficiency of 20.3%

The Fraunhofer ISE has confirmed that the conversion efficiency of passivated solar cells on the back of Sunrise Global Solar Energy Corporation in Taiwan has reached 20.3%.

Led by a well-respected R&D team consisting of senior staff from the University of New South Wales, Australia, Asahi Global Opto's “CELCO” high efficiency solar cell design achieves this battery conversion efficiency.

Asahi Global Optoelectronics recently launched its CELCO battery design in its components, and TÃœV Rheinland confirmed that its power output exceeds 280 watts.

The back of the battery is DuPont "Solamet" PV36X series aluminum paste, the company said it has demonstrated strong resistance to potential induced attenuation (PID) capability.
