The trial production of the first 10 cubic meters AC driven excavator supporting variable frequency speed regulation asynchronous motor in China has been successfully announced recently. Taiyuan Heavy Machinery (Group) Co., Ltd. and China CNR Group Yongji Motor Factory realized a strong alliance, breaking the passive situation of foreign technology monopoly and realizing the localization of the key technology of variable frequency speed control asynchronous motor for excavators.
At present, Taizhong Group and Yongji Motor Factory have entered a stage of comprehensive cooperation. The 20 cubic meter excavator project is in the assembly and commissioning phase, and the 4 cubic meters and 28 cubic meters projects have signed technical agreements. The two sides intend to cooperate to develop larger-sized excavators, thus creating the world's most exchanging excavators. Previously, AC-driven excavators had many new performance requirements for variable-frequency motors because of their harsh working conditions. Only foreign companies mastered this technology.
