Breakthrough in research on new safe and efficient pesticides


At present, the national “10th Five-Year” scientific and technological research project “Agricultural and Forestry Major Pests and Diseases and Agricultural Meteorological Disaster Early Warning and Control Technology Research” is a sub-project of “National Compatibility Pesticide Safe and Efficient Use Technology” hosted by Professor Gao Xiwu of the Agricultural College of China Agricultural University. The study is progressing well. Important progress has been made in the resistance mechanism of important agricultural pests such as cotton bollworm, cotton aphid and diamondback moth and molecular detection of drug resistance.

The researchers systematically studied the differential expression of GSTs in different tissues of Helicoverpa armigera and the difference in the expression of GSTs induced by different plant sub-biomass. At the same time, three GSTs gene fragments were cloned to further detect GSTs from the gene level. The role of the resistance of cotton bollworm laid the foundation.

In view of the main pests and diseases of rice, cotton and Other crops in China, breakthroughs have been made in new pesticide formulations, multi-functional mixtures, new plant-derived pesticides, pesticide safety and efficient use of technology. A new formulation of pesticides and new types of pesticides have been developed. There are 25 functional blends, 18 of which have been put into production; 1 invention patent has been granted, 8 patents have been applied; 7 have passed the appraisal, including 2 award-winning achievements; 8 demonstration bases for pest resistance control have been established; 2 demonstration bases for precise use of technology; 4 pilot lines for new pesticide formulations and 2 production lines. The results of the project have reached the domestic leading level as a whole, and some of the achievements have reached the international advanced level. The promotion and application of the research results of this subject will increase the effective utilization rate of pesticides in China by about 30%, and reduce the use of existing pesticides by nearly 40%. This will increase the input-output ratio of farmers and reduce the pollution of chemical pesticides to the environment. Significance.
