Breakthrough in research on recycled aluminum scrap technology

Comprehensive media reported on April 10 that in the near future, a technical study of the "recycled aluminum recycled high-strength, corrosion-resistant 6063 round ingot" technology that can improve the plastic properties and mechanical properties of used aluminum remanufactured products has achieved a breakthrough in Changge City. Experts from the Provincial Science and Technology Commission who participated in the assessment agreed that the technology has reached the leading domestic level.

The technology of "recycled high-strength and corrosion resistant 6063 round ingot for scrap aluminum" was researched and developed independently by the Changge Nonferrous Metal Research Institute of Changge City. It utilizes an innovative solution for pure purification and homogenizing fine crystallization to make the aluminum obtained after the treatment. The plasticity and mechanical properties of the fine grain slab have been greatly improved, which solved the problem of casting technology of high quality aluminum alloy.

It is understood that the recycled aluminum products produced using this technology will enter the high-end technology market, which is mainly based on aerospace equipment. The value-added benefits from the recycling of used aluminum will reach more than 1 billion yuan per year.
